Special Olympics Hawaiʻi offers year-round sports training and athletic competition to children and adults with intellectual disabilities. Over 6,000 Special Olympics athletes and Unified Partners, from around the state, benefit from participation in the program.
Training and competition opportunities are available for every athlete, regardless of gender, age or ability. No matter what their ability level may be, athletes can benefit from Special Olympics. Special Olympics Hawaiʻi offers training and competition in 10 sports and conducts over 50 competitions annually, including 3 Statewide competitions. Athletes receive training conducted by over 2,000 certified coaches.
