Tip A Hero
Tip A Hero is the next evolution of our long-standing Tip A Cop fundraiser. As more first responder agencies joined the effort to support our athletes, the event evolved to better reflect the many men and women who serve our communities.
While the name has changed, the mission remains the same.
Off-duty first responders will greet guests and assist restaurant staff to raise awareness and resources. Every “tip” received stays right here in Hawaiʻi, helping provide year-round sports, health, leadership, and inclusion programs for more than 3,000 Special Olympics Hawaiʻi athletes, all at no cost to athletes or their families.
Serving More Than a Meal. Changing Lives.
For one weekend, first responders are trading in their badges, radios, helmets, and duty gear for aprons, serving meals instead of emergencies.
Join us to meet the heroes serving your community, enjoy a great meal, and leave a tip that helps create more opportunities for Special Olympics Hawaiʻi athletes.
