Special Olympics Hawaii offers year-round sports training and athletic competition to children and adults with intellectual disabilities. Over 3,400 Special Olympics athletes, from around the state, benefit from participation in the program. 

Training and competition opportunities are available for every athlete, regardless of gender, age or ability. No matter what their ability level may be, athletes can benefit from Special Olympics. Special Olympics Hawaii offers training and competition in 9 sports and conducts over 40 competitions annually, including 3 Statewide competitions. Athletes receive training conducted by over 350 certified coaches.
